On the last weekend before Christmas, Smeatharpe Stadium will be suitably themed for the afternoon.  This will include an appearance from Father Christmas in his Grotto, which is bound to be a popular winner for the children.  On track there will be a deluge of action from three classes of Bangers.  Plenty of demand for 2 Litre National Bangers should result in good numbers with the Winter Open title at stake.  There will be a rare outing for National Micro Bangers as they chase the Banger Bonanza title.  Additionally, the Supreme Championship for Bangers will be contested.

After an exciting display in the last 2 Litre National Bangers fixture, on 17 November at St Day, 776 Terry Senford is set for another appearance.

The current holder of the Banger Bonanza title, 186 Lewis Fasey, will be looking to squeeze even more success out of his Nissan Micra.  The car has taken Fasey to five wins from six starts in the past two Autospeed fixtures for the small cars (Smeatharpe on 31 December last year and St Day on 18 February).
